Dallas home with $23 million asking price has sold

A Dallas mansion listed earlier this year for nearly $23 million has sold.

Dallas County deeds show that 1 Dorset Place was sold to a trust tied to medical executives Tu and Alex Dao on Dec. 12.

The sale price was not disclosed. However, the pair took out a $10 million mortgage with PNC Bank to fund the purchase, records show.

Tu is the founder and CEO of Addison-based OrthoMed Anesthesia. Alex serves as firm’s president.

The newly built Preston Hollow home was sold by a trust tied to entrepreneurs Sardar and Rida Sharif, county records show.

The estate was listed in early October, but was removed from the MLS in early November. Compass real estate agent Jonathan Rosen held the listing.

The custom-built property was a partnership between builder Mark Rose, Curtis Burlbaw of Blue C Designs and Richard Drummond Davis Architects, according to a previously available description of the property.

The fully gated estate includes a nearly 15,800-square-foot main home and a private guest quarters spanning some 2,900 square feet. Amenities of note include a catering kitchen, bar, gym, game room, media suite and a three-sided negative edge pool.

The transaction is one of several multimillion-dollar sales in North Texas in recent weeks.

A trust tied to a local family bought 6601 Hunters Glen Road in University Park for $30.5 million — one of the largest home sales in Texas this year.

The Maui Kiki Trust purchased 4000 Euclid Ave. earlier this month for $25.5 million, according to records provided to The Dallas Morning News.
