Carrier Global is considering North Fort Worth for a roughly $433 million advanced manufacturing operation tied to the fast-growing data-center cooling business. The proposed operation would occupy Hillwood’s approximately 1.2-million-square-foot Westport 12 building at AllianceTexas and could create about 495 jobs.
Fort Worth has offered approximately $10.9 million in incentives, but the project is not final. Carrier is also considering locations in three other states.
Why this matters if you’re watching North Texas: The story is bigger than one factory. AllianceTexas continues attracting advanced manufacturing, AI infrastructure, logistics and data-center-related investment, which can influence employment centers, commute patterns and long-term housing demand across North Fort Worth and nearby communities. |
Local insider note: When I help relocating families compare communities, I always look at where major employers and infrastructure are moving, not just where they are today.
