The company told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday morning that tickets, hotel packages and annual passes for the highly anticipated 20-acre theme park and hotel are now on sale.
The park is part of the larger Fields development, a sprawling $10 billion mixed-use destination that also encompasses multimillion-dollar homes and the PGA of America headquarters.
The resort features seven themed lands: DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, Jurassic World Adventure Camp, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar and the Isle of Curiosity featuring DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse. Each land has various amusements to entertain — thrill rides, water attractions and themed eateries. Universal previously announced that the park will feature 11 restaurants, offering everything from sandwiches and hot dogs at the SpongeBob-themed Goofy Goober’s to sweet treats and candy at Puss in Boots’ Tienda de Dulces.
The resort also features a 300-room colorful hotel with an outdoor pool and other family-friendly amenities.
Universal Destinations & Experience, the theme park arm of entertainment giant NBCUniversal, first announced it was building the park along the Dallas North Tollway and Panther Creek Parkway in 2023. Unlike Universal’s sprawling parks in Orlando, Los Angeles and abroad, the Frisco development will be a much smaller attraction.
