Why go? This hands-on exhibition is for every kid who’s ever read and been inspired by Rosie Revere, Engineer or other titles from the best-selling illustrated children’s book series by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts. Why go? Got crafty kids? Add this free, monthly arts program into your rotation. It’s open to all ages, encourages parents to participate too, and each month focuses on a new theme. On this Sunday, in celebration of Black History Month, it’s about African American artists—those who have gone on before us and those who are still inspiring art lovers with their creations. When: Saturday, February 7, 9:45am opening ceremonies, 10am plunge
Why go? Now that Winter Storm Fern is in the rearview mirror and Saturday’s expecting a high temp in the 70s, this Polar Plunge is sounding more doable. Come hang out with Special Olympics families at this annual fundraising event featuring a quick, wild ride down NRH2O’s waterpark slides.
